OPERAN AND RAVENS INCIDENT!!

 The band Operan came out with their smash hit song Ravens in 1991. They had used a 5 note segment from The Rolling Stones^[1] song "the last time"^[2], for which they had struck a 50% royalties agreement w/ ABKCO^[3] Records. But Allen Klein^[4] the former Stones' manager, sued Operan, claiming that Operan violated their agreement. He sued Operan for 1.7 mil. ,obtained 100% royalties to their biggest song Ravens and had full credit for the song go to the Stones. Only on May 23rd 2019, after nearly 30 years Operan finally regained rights to their iconic song Ravens; whose title is quite fitting for the entire situation as it is quite similar to the iconic poetic masterpiece written by Edgar Allan Poe^[5]
